The eastern sky and high plains
awaken together with the little birds
The fresh morning light
and trailing clouds shine
Awaken the dreams of strong youth
Heart Mountain towers over everything
and at the foot strive my compatriots
together walking
The soil in this prairie lushly
speaks of future happiness
On the plains by the Shoshone River
a flock of sheep sleep
Earth scents insect sounds
are carried in the wind
Protecting our resting children
