Crushing underfoot these pillars of frost, punting the soccer ball
Varied and bountiful harvest: this is the victor nation
Autumn wind—a black raven, cawing as it crosses the sky
A dear friend carried far, far away inside the autumn wind
The clear autumn sky—a single hawk sails across it
Starlit moonlit night—the deep sadness that prevails over this prison camp
The dawn sky slowly clearing till all is vivid
Pickled roots peacefully stored away
North wind blowing on bare shins, girls hurry down the road
Doing nothing, thinking nothing: hibernating through winter
